Purely because my liver could use a break and I can't remember a time in the last 10 years I have gone without a drink for more than a few days

What is Dry July?

Dry July is a website based community where an individual or group can take on the challenge of a month long sponsored abstinence from alcohol.

100% of all funds raised go direct to benefit the lives of people living with cancer through the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation, Dreams2Live4 Charity.

Dry July is about making a difference, challenging yourself, encouraging positive change, clearing your head and getting healthy. Feel good about yourself knowing your efforts and the sponsorship you raise will directly benefit the lives of people living with cancer.

hmm, I just 2 bottles of Wild Turkey Rare Breed duty free so I'll pass.

I have a glass or wine or beer maybe like twice a year so there'd be no point in me doing it

i've cut back majorly in recent months, i am down to like 30 drinks a week.

i had already decided to have a detox month before i heard about this!

i don't generally drink during the week as it is, and i'm having a nice break from having benders. it's quite good having a whole sunday to do s***

I gave up drinking from ages of 21.5 till 23.5.
2 Years.
Not drinking is overrated.

However since then i've never really gotten bad drunk...
5-6 a night is enough. Cheaper too.

its my 21st party on the weekend.. no way am i going to be sober for that, and its my mates at the end of the month.

If you can't go a month without drinking even if you want to I'd be worried.

i can't remember the last friday night i wasn't drunk.. matter of fact, i don't even remember my friday nights

i don't drink mon-thurs though.. so it's all about balance, right?

but half the time i end up at the pit after soccer anyways.

Have drunk once so far this year..piece of piss really..another month wouldnt hurt..Trying to go as long as i possible can without touching alcohol..live a clean healthy life from now on.

i only drink once every 2 weeks or so on average, more on hols less during uni.

but when i drink i get well sloppy

last couple times i've drunk have been with my kiwi girls..f*** they drink like fish and stay standing all night..i try and keep pace and just pass out.. ahah

they drink shots like it was a normal drink..

the world is going to hell in a handbasket. so I'll keep drinking thank-you very much.

I am generally at the pub 4-5 nights a week, it's a sad state of affairs :/

i never drink thru the week with the exception of origin and events like that


iv actually cleaned up my act partially, back in the day when me and all my mates were alex hills hotel fiends, guaranteed 5pm we would be s***faced every friday and then go out, then wake up recover go get subway about 4 pm straight back on it and into the valley

now i only do the 2nd one, but i kick on all day sunday and im f***ed all week

I havn't drank anything all month....actually wait, f*** i had 1 drink last friday night (4th), but it was a smirfnoff guarana and wanted it for energy? surely that doesn't count?

I really should have done it this month, but I really don't drink much these days anyway, so it seams hardly worth it.* But I am limiting myslef to a 6-pack per weekend. That's dry enough.
