Once you do the install, the first page says it's the release candidate, but it's not. Apparently, the page just hasn't been updated yet.

dont think so. its only 7mb so ill just download it again to help em out. apparently clicking the mozilla download link in my first post increases the download counter.

Update: Looks like we're getting ahead of ourselves. Although a file titled, "Firefox 3.0" (without the RC# associated with previous release candidates) is active and available to download, it looks like it's just the RC3 installer placed in the final 3.0 folder.

If I'm running rc2 will it do the whole auto update to v 3.0 release automatically and if so will that count towards their world record thing?

The funniest part about all this is the firefox team is trying to create a world record.

It's much faster. Seems to hog less ram once you've closed multi-tabs. No fasterfox addon yet for v3, but Adblock Plus and Noscript are updated.
