as skitza said - get data back or rstudio
here's a cool recovery story did some work on a very important (24x7) PC once - some bozo tech had some and reimaged the PC not realising there was gigs and gigs of data (rosters, templates, forms) on the PC and the PC kinda acted as a server for a few others. Ran get data back for NTFS on the drive - it took FOREVER but i got every single piece of data back. i was rewarded nicely for that one. |

The entire filesystem has been rewritten... its a bit different to just quick formatting a drive.

another vote for get data back. i started a thread like this a while ago and lost only a small amount of data due to physical drive damage. almost all was recovered.

What software would you guys recommend for a physically damaged disk.
I am currently trying Acronis disk director - running off the boot CD - it can see things, not sure if it can recover what I need yet as it's taking ages as it's obviously running into s***loads of rooted sectors. |
