Topic: THQ Offers First Cricket Experience On Wii With Big Beach Sp...

THQ have today announced plans to release a new beach sporting package exclusively for Wii this June 26 entitled Big Beach Sports. As well as featuring Volleyball, Bocce, American Football, Frisbee Golf (called Disc Golf) and Scoccer, Big Beach Sports will also play host to the first Cricket experience on the Wii.
And if you own a DS as well as a Wii? Big Beach Sports has an incredible customization feature which allows you to wi-fi across a program to your Nintendo DS where you can draw directly onto your avatar’s face. Want a unibrow, maybe a scar on your cheek, some anime-style eyes? Anything you can draw, you can put onto your avatar. The DS then sends the data back to your Wii, and the customization can be saved along with your avatar.
Sounds like it could be pretty cool. Wii Sports still gets a pretty decent spin in my Wii, so hopefully THQ are using it as their benchmark for accessibility and fun. Either way, cricket on the Wii was a no-brainer, about time someone jumped in with it.

doesnt look like its the answer to what most of us want (a serious cricket sim on the wii)

but any cricket is better than no cricket!

Agreed, Shane warne 99 was awesome. Ricky Ponting cricket was also good but not the same - also need to crank those cricket sims on hard or they're too easy
