Just got married yesterday and fly out to Fiji mid night tomorrow night from Brisbane. Just wondering how long before you're flight you're supposed to be there?

you can get there late, but it's better to get there at least 2 hours before so you can get a good seat!

Also if you baggage is slightly over the limit, if you are there early and checkin early you don't typically get charged for overage, it's when they are coming close to the limit they start charging per KG over etc

They say 3 hours for International.

If you have online booking do it asap (24 hrs before flight normally) so you can choose what seats you want. No online booking usually means the sooner you're there the better seats you get.

but still get there early to check bags in if you are overweight, most airlines are cracking down on weight due to rising fuel costs, int'l flights is a strict 20KG now :( it was 25KG only a few years ago

checkin only opens 3 hours before !

Checkin opens 3 hours before (We flew Quantas/Air Pacific), I got there 2 hours before....waited like 15 min and got straight through.
They said 2 hours is recommended check in.
Just been to Fiji a couple of weeks ago! Hot during the day, but it did get al ittle too cool to swim at night (after 9pm)

When I went to the states i got there 3 hrs before, right on check in that way i got to choose a good seat.

The waiting around is boring but if youre with someone it shouldnt be too bad.

Like I said, take the time to read the few pages of terms and conditions that come with the ticket. You don't want to forfeit your airfare because you posted on QGL instead of reading a few pages of writing.

Cheers guys, turns out recommended time is 2.5 hours, so will just do 3 so can hopefully get good seats. Yeah been monitoring Fiji / smart traveller for a while now, the short of it is to steer clear of the capital, but thats on east of island, with air port on west. Straight from airport to resort on one of the small islands.

Was lookn for checkin online but didnt see one for pacific air....

3hrs... ive missed a few flights in my day. get there early, less stress.

i used to rock up to international flights about 30 minutes before at heathrow.

Better to be safe though, you never know if there'll be travel delays somewhere, 2 hours is fine.

I think I usually get there 2 hrs before...and I'm flying out to NZ today.
