Funcom have hooked us up with 100 beta keys for the Age of Conan beta that is currently underway!

Before you get excited, please note you'll need to download over 12gb of data to enter this beta. Funcom have specifically asked us not to make the beta available for download, because dopes without keys keep downloading it and trying to run it and it is causing them problems.

If you want to participate, head over to our beta signup page and get your key. It's first come first served, so if you want to check out one of the most anticipated MMOs of the year, jump in and get yours.

I can neither how nor many. We've asked about a local mirror but at this stage it looks like you'll need to do your downloading directly from the Age of Conan site.

I've noticed there's other places around hosting the April 14 build, but I have no idea whether they're all compatible with the keys AusGamers were given and 12GB is quite a bit to run around testing :)

I n00bed up the email. My profile had my old email :(

It doesn't matter if your profile had your old email - when you submitted the form there was a whole email field right there next to the submit button that you could put your new email into! If you didn't change it, it would by default use your old email address.

I thought this was apparent and easy but apparently not! We'll rearrange the form to make it more obvious next time.

For those that newbed the email process: I'll have a modification to the page up soon that will let you get your beta key direct off the page.

The dowload is chugging away ;) I dont believe there was a problem but coupled with the inability to log into the official forums there was a small part of me that started to wonder.

Sounds pretty crap from what I was reading the other day on that link Obes (I think it was obes?) posted from someone who had played the beta.

And from the people that brought you Anarchy Online, expect an absolutely horrendous launch.
