I just chucked our "The Fairies - Fairy Magic" DVD into the kid's media player (an old lappy).
Windows MP 10 resfused to play the dvd, which was pretty odd considering the kids have watched this thing 50 times or more since they got it. MP10 came up with an error saying that the disk couldn't be played as no apropriate hardware could be found to render the content. ie: DRM. Hmm.. I should have taken a screeny. Media Player Classic plays the dvd for them without an issue, though I am getting the feeling that the Media Center 2005 setup will soon acting up in the same way to newer dvds. I think MS have well and truely shot themselves in the foot with this one... |

I've had that error before, usually means hardware overlay mode isn't available because: a) your drivers are rooted b) some other program is using hardware overlays or c) user error.
Try disabling hardware acceleration in media player 10. |

I get that every time I go to watch a DVD but I'm pretty sure it's because WMP doesn't like it when you have 2 monitors plugged in.

yeah I find it's pretty standard to have to crack on MPC or VLC because WMP is ghey, don't think it's DRM.
