Just saw the Generation Kill trailer up on hbo.com - new miniseries coming in July, from the creators of The Wire. Looks like a military action/drama thing set in Iraq. Trailer is a bit light on content but given HBOs track record it'll prolly be worth a gander.

I only just finished watching The Wire after starting it at Christmas. It is definitely one of the best shows that have ever been on TV. Such good characters and story. Very involving and captivating. Anything by the people that made it is worth my time.
And it's got Beecher in it, how cool. |

You mean it will be cut after season 2 :)Name a single show that didnt finish its season... Shows might not get renewed on HBO but they never get cut. |

I took "cut" to mean they didn't FINISH, not just their season - which, for an HBO show is basically the same thing, because they're typically so f***ing awesome that when they're not ended "properly" you feel like you've been ripped the f*** off!@@#

Shows might not get renewed on HBO but they never get cut.Don't be so anal. Like trog said, I mean renewed at the end of the season. They ditch the show and then release the crap on DVD and try to flog a 1/2 finished product to fans. I like the stance that NBC has taken with Friday Night Lights to continue with season 3 and possibly season 4 (if it goes that long). This show looks cool though. So I'm definitely keen to watch it. |

HBO is not FOX!
Oz. Sex and the city. The Wire. Two of the best shows ever, and plenty of cocksucking c***s for nf, all of them ran 5+ seasons. |

are you watching it with subbies on? I really struggled in the first season understanding what they were saying :-) you do get used to it but it's hard without them.
Also, there's one season, maybe season 3, where it seems nothing actually happens, but it's still completely awesome. |

Yeah i'm sure his kid will be able to see past the colourful language and get the complex, gritty storylines dealing with beaurocracy, drugs, crime etc.
