Ok so after a few dramas with my Canon IP4200 (I think) malfunctioning and telling me there's more than 1 of each colour ink tank installed I'm in need of a new photo printer. Although I don't really print on cd's that much I've enjoyed being able to do so so that function would be nice and a decent printer that's not going to die on me within a year of buying it would also be nice. I don't care if the printer costs $500 so long as it's not going to malfunction like all the other cheap pieces of s*** out there.

I got a Canon MP600R at christmas time. Photos are great, prints on cd, and has wireless and ethernet networking. Tis great.

Just installed a new HP Multifunction 7580 or something, it's very cool indeed with built in LAN and the option for Bluetooth printing! Pretty quick compared to the older 2840!

I don't really need a multifunction as I already have a scanner and I manage all my digital photos on the PC so printing direct from memory cards etc isn't completely necessary. I do like the idea of the printer being able to be plugged into the router though since I lost the ability to do that when i gave my usb enabled router to my mate. Bluetooth I can live without.

I should probably add, because someone will ask it, I only ever used genuine canon ink cartridges in the printer and never refilled them.

hmm this thing looks pretty decent, anyone had any bad experiences with Epson?
