as long as i'm allowed to call people lamers and campers
when i had a small taste of ra3 last night (on a computer wiht a gay mosue i couldn't play on) there was severe camping. it was gay. and i mean it, we were on lan, so we coudl tell eachother where the enemies were, and this one guy who was leading the server say crouched beside this jump ramp thingy for like a whole minute until i came past so he coudl rail me in the air, pretty lame.

ra3 is the outlet for quakers that want to be cs players, you'll fit right in :P

it's fun for a bash, but dont take it seriously or you'll get s***ty .. fast.

yeah, i liked the team play aspect though, i spose it has some of the same elements that i enjoy about cs, i'm curious to see whether i can become good at it or not. it seems like it would be findif your good at it, more fun that normal deathmatch that's for sure

i thought the coolest thing about RA3 was the skill factor.

As in, everyone starts out with the same weapons and items, they can move to whatever part of the map they want (in most cases), and then fight.

Theres no quad timing and stuff, its all about straight DM skill, which is cool.

straight dm skill doesnt equal quake skill though, you dont have the strat element of being able to time 3 sets of armours and protect the weapons from your oponenent like in a duel.

The lamest part about ra3 is the waiting when you die :)

well i'm used to that bit =]

why aren't all the quake servers updated, i mean, it's always like this, only half or less of the servers are actally up to date... WHY IS THAT??

because of lazy admins (note: optus is still not updated) who have better things to do

I dont think Optus care too much about there servers. It seems they put them up, make sure they dont crash and leave it at that.

hahah i just had my first game, i did pretty well, i was in the top few for my team

anyhow, this guy called milooni joines, and he goes "haha your a cs palyer, your gay" and then i'm better than him and it's my first game, so eat s***!!!

seems that quakers are every bit as immature as cs players, which is good, because arguing is half hte fun!

one other thing, i guess this is a q3 netcode thing, but railing on the net is heaps harder, the delay seems to be larger, am i imagining that? if i'm right, thne that's pretty gay, you shoudn't have to play differently on the net to on lan

There are wanker's in every internet game. But your right axis, arguing is half the fun.

if it had the same netcode as CS u could hit people who arent actually there cause u have a high ping, which is gay for a fast paced game such as RA3.

also playing on the net means when u play on LAN everything is easier i reckon.

u should get into CTF axis. thats skillfull. has better team aspect. and not as many lamers as ra3.
