No this isn't a thread about insufficient manhood, it's a thread devoted to a little tiny lizard that has kept me amused somewhat this evening.
Here's the little bugger in question: http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/8692/img2582fk6.th.jpg That thing he's sitting on is the case for a wrt54g and the bit near his tail is about 1.5cm wide. So far he's chased the mouse cursor across the monitor and sat on my leg sizing me up for a meal no doubt. I plan to capture him and train him to do my bidding. Soon you will all bow down to me and my lizard army.

I catch about 2 of those a day in my apartment, they're a f***ing pest. Yes I feel guilty when I'm beating their heads in with an umbrella, but there is a whole tribe of them in here and they are s***ting everywhere. I have bought a lot of gap seal type products and am slowly filling in their trenches.

We have got a fair few of them. I don't mind them because they eat other more annoying bugs and spiders.

What I really hate is f***ing ants, we have the National Ant Headquarters outside our kitchen in the yard somewhere and no matter what I try they just wont f*** off. No matter what I do they just either take a different route or rebuild. f***en need an army of obese geckos and send them into the Ant HQ.

my fish love 'em... they must have munchable bones coz i never see any skeletons. it's all a wonderful circle of life in my aquarium... i feed the fish the fishfood, little bits get stuck to the glass, the ants come to cleanup the fishfood, the geckos come to cleanup the ants, the fish eat the geckos & ants.

& yer as orbitor sez... the biege translucent geckos are asian imports & should be exterminated, but if you do see the darker brown geckos they are natives.

what sort of fish? I have molly and I only feed them the flakes - I am too scared to even give them veggies or anything in case they choke

i'd say my nandopsis dovii is doing the majority of the gecko eating at my place. :D

it pretty much eats anything that will fit in it's mouth.

Looks to me like you have a wretched Asian gecko there. They're a threat to native wildlife. I recommend you kill the one you have and replace him with a nice native Gecko.

I have a question for you fish guys... how long did it take and how much did it cost you guys before you got 'good' at keeping fish? I asked a dude in a pet shop about getting seahorses, and when I told him I had never had a fish before he just laughed at me until I got uncomfortable and left.

it sure does :P i put it & my salvini & my salmontail cats in my new 8' tank the other day & stopped feeding them to give the system time to build up the denitrifying bacteria. i came into the fishroom to feed the fish in my other tanks & the dovii got the floating thermometer in it's mouth & started tapping it on the front glass :P like it was going 'hey! where's my food?'

crizane: you can be totally crap at fish keeping & still be successful if you choose very hardy fish. but fiddly things like sea-horses are gonna take some know-how & effort to keep thier water conditions in a state they like.

the main type of fish i keep (american cichlids) come from rivers where sometimes due to flooding or whatever they will be seperated from the main body of water in a little gully where water conditions may deteriate quickly & these fish have evolved to deal with that. whereas fish that come from the sea are only used to living in a fukn massive body of water where water conditions change only minimally which makes keeping them in a tank more difficult.

how do you get a lizard licence if you're unsure about whether a lizard can cope with being in captivity?

what's the test?
