I have 2 chars.. 40mil+ sp on one, about 25mil on the other. Can fly capitals, covert ops, etc.

But I just can't bring myself to play Eve anymore.

It's a pitiful war, judging by the looks of our enemy they just go round and target newbie corps into giving them money. Since a lot of us have barely been playing it a month it was a little difficult at first, but we finally took one of their ships down tonight (pity I wasn't there).

My character is Djavo, though tempted in making another one now that I've learnt some things.

Me?! Why me? I played the trial a while ago... It seems pretty good, but there does seem to be a huge learning curve. I might give it a go with another trial and see if I can work it out.

I played about 3hrs of eve, seems like a really great concept, but it takes so f***ing long to achieve anything...like any other mmos...i just want some fun action, not somethign to take over my life.

Is Eve still boring s***?


I have played it just over a week and am still doing level 1 missions... even after moving halfway across the galaxy or whatever I've done some of the missions it keeps giving me 3 times already... pretty over it and probably won't continue after the trial runs out.

Not strong enough to solo level 2 missions atm, I get pwned way too hard. I currently fly a Stabber Cruiser with 2 x 720mm howitzers, 1 x assault missile launcher, 1 x heavy assault missile launcher, and a 280mm howitzer + a salvager.

It rapes most lvl 1 missions ships in 1 barrage. Seems not enough to do lvl 2 missions safely...

I'm not gonna continue with EVE until:

- I can change font sizes (current font @ 2550x1600 licks balls an is smaller than asian p3n0r)
- ALchemy support for audio is created (Vista + X-Fi = no hardware acceleration)

The learning curve is steep an I'm ok with that (despite the occasional frustration)
I've just got lil to no interest in spending a metric f***load of time an effort 24x 7 into a game just so I can have fun.

My idea of a game is "pick it up, install, play, enjoy immediately" an not have to rely/co-ordinate with a dozen other people just to gain any real benfit out of it.

Yeh I played Eve for about a week and the first few days were rly cool but then it just got monotonous as f***.

They seriously need to think about how fkn slow the gameplay is.

That being said the game itself looks swish now with DX10 capabilities :D

Well, I started a dude called Harvey Norman... completely noobing it all over the place, but I'm not exploded yet... I've just upgraded to the frigate they give you as part of those first 10 missions. Now I'm learning er.. learning and can't finish the last one.

It seems like a nifty concept. I'll see how I go...

We're in one we created ourselves, just sitting in empire space atm as a lot of us are under a month old or not that much older. All of the people in it are skips, so we're pretty active prior to shutdown and after it.

It takes forf***ingever to get a high enough standing to be able to get level 2 missions and even now that I can JUST get some they are too hard for my current ship.


I'm not doing every level 1 mission 10 times before being able to do level 2 missions solo.

Not really, they're all lowbies. I'm going to have to pick one to make my main I think, because trying to work out who's worthy of the next training session is a pain, I want to train all of them dammit!! I'm thinking the miner, but I do like the combat dude, love the ship that looks like it's made out of duct tape and wire and it's so damn speedy! :)

Anyone wanna buy a 45m+ character, I cant remember how many SP he has exactly maybe getting close to 47m, has a carrier etc and can pilot motherships.
