Well I want my PC to automatically shut down when coming off offpeak. So a set time. Does anyone have a favourite or trusty program or method to do this with? I know i can google it and find all manner of things, but i want to see if people actually have experience with this. Cheers

Define "coming off offpeak". Are you talking about an ISP-specific time for download quota?

I'm sure you can just set a regular Windows schedule. Read here:

If you're only concerned about torrents, you can use uTorrent which has a scheduler in its preferences, but as far as a total system shutdown is concerned, I've never bothered to look into it.

Doesn't uTorrent have an option to shut down at a certain time? I know there's an option to shut down when the torrents complete, because I use that when I'm downloading TV shows during my offpeak time. Check to see if there's an option to shut down during times outside of the schedule.

Yes it has it's own scheduler too. You can even limit the speed at certain times if you so wish.

Another vote for the shutdown command. It's small, built into windows and does exactly what you want. I used a half hour shutdown timer for falling asleep to internet radio for years.
