My boss has asked me to put out feelers almost for expressions of interest for a junior/level 1 tech support role.

We're not actively recruiting yet, but will most likely be doing so soon. Since I was fortunate enough to score this role thanks to a reply from my post on QGL, I thought I'd pay it forward and give you all the heads up first. :)

Basically, what we're going to be looking for is someone with a basic to intermediate understanding of server management (we'll teach you a lot of what you'll need to know, but we don't want to have to start with "This is a domain controller, it does X, Y and Z".

As for who we are, we're a small IT company who manage a range of clients' networks and systems. Essentially, outsourced IT for small to medium enterprises.

Given that we're a small company, we probably won't be offering top dollar salaries, but you'll have a great working environment, bosses who actually give a damn and you'll learn a lot. Still, having said that, we're not trying to hire people for the lowest figure we could possibly offer. My bosses recognise that if you want good people, you kinda have to pay a bit of a premium.

Anyway, that's about all I can say at this stage.. everything else is still being formulated, but if you're interested, PLEASE send me a PM/IM/Email/reply to this thread.
