I love a good defrag, but it bothers me that everything doesn't get pushed up one end, is there some way to do that? Also why doesn't it take advantage of space on another hard drive if it's running out of room.

perfect disk and oo both support what's called "space defragmentation". They call it different names but that's really what you want.

Of course.. this is only useful if you know what you're doing.

Recently got put onto this little gem http://www.defraggler.com/ I'm not much of an avid defragger but it seems to work as good as the best of em with a tiny footprint.

alright guys I went to the store and got O&O defrag 10 professional. There are no drives listed in it. What.

O&O Defrag and then run a "Complete: by Name" defrag

yes, though I'm not used to reading the o&o block table/graph thing, so it's not as satisfying.

MS-DOS defragger ftw! Now that was satisfying. Esp. if you were like me and playing WC3 with 8MB of RAM :O
