The Sydney Morning Herald is reporting that the Attorney General has announced an R 18+ category is once again being considered for video games in Australia. The long-standing issue, largely ignored by the previous govenment is set for discussion at the next Standing Committee of attorneys-general meeting in late March.

The lack of an adult rating has seen 18 titles banned, while others have been forced to make content changes in order to slide under the current MA15+ barrier.
