So just finished mass effect.

Overall, pretty engaging game. Awesome story line.

Spoiler:
I was totally pissed though, when that Ashley bitch killed Wrex. No matter what i did when i went back to my savepoint i couldn't not get him killed and it totally bummed me that i couldn't talk him out of it. I either didn't know wrex well enough or I didn't have enough points in charm. But I left Ashley to die with the nuke for a bit of payback. I was even more pissed when i got the romance achievement with that Kaiden guy [i was playing as a girl]. I thought i was tuning the girls harder. The end was really good though, despite the cheesey 'drop off the ledge and float back up on the hoverboard' moment and the 'zomg hes not actually dead' moment.

Very much looking forward to the sequels, hopefully they will carry across the improvements they made to the PC version to the sequels on the 360. The inventory system made me stop playing it for a few weeks. I couldn't be f***ed going through my inventory and selling items just so i can go out and get more. Also mako combat was s***. But despite all the bugs the story line is just to awesome to ignore.

Most of all I hope they let me take the character i made across, cause i am totally into my character.

On to lost oddysey now!

ps. anyone want to trade mass effect for orange box?

mako combat was fine... it was mako movement that was somewhat s***.

Spoiler:

Keeping wrex alive pretty much requires a lot of charm/intimidate and/or having done his personal arc.

As for lesbian wooties, you have to be nice to Liara. If you've been nice to Liara then at some point(roughly after your second major mission with her including the one where you pick her up) she pretty much comes onto you. If you don't respond nice (neutral ain't good enough) then she becomes embarrassed and there's no chance anymore. Then there'll be a conversation where it's either her or kaiden.
go to www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox360/file/930279/51033 for the full version of what i just said.

I wouldn't be ready to cry bitter tears if it doesn't happen. Theres really too much of a distance between "People who did just the story arcs" and "People who did all of the sub quests". So in other words unless you did every story arc they'd probably have to f*** with your character anyway.

In other words it'll just be easier for them if they make you re-create your character from a defined point.

Spoiler:
I was playing my guy as a hardass, so I loved it when I talked the chick into shooting Wrex. First time I did it I actually intimidated him and talked him out of it, but then I reloaded my game and killed him cos it was just more badass that way.

I don't care if they take my skills back to a certain point to make it easier to balance the game, but I do hope they at least let me carry over my character's facial features and stuff, cos I got my guy looking awesome, and I don't know if I could ever recreate his awesomeness :(

I didn't really have a problem with driving the mako, or combat in the mako, but yeah the inventory system was absolute balls. I guess they realise it was absolute balls too cos they're completely re-doing it for the PC version.

I did that more times than I'd rather remember, worst button mapping ever.
