Just got linked to this by someone at work, and holy s***, pretty amazing and innovative concept. I believe its one of the finalists in the independant games festival at GDC. Don't want to say much cos I don't want to give it away, but definitely watch this video :)

pretty cool idea, reminds me a little of paper mario. I imagine it'll be a pain in the ass to find some hidden items/areas though.

that doesnt make sense, he can just move horizontally whenever he wants, sounds like a bad idea to me

The idea is you can spin the world in 3d to get it in a different perspective, then everything is projected into 2d from that perspective and becomes the platforms and stuff you can jump on.

How do you think the mapping/projection works on that paper mario. They make the map once in 3d, and it kinds of works out the '2d' projection automaticallly?

:(
its just a really really slow version of paper mario

although if its got less inane text, it would probably be more fun to play;

Felt like a cross between Paper mario and Echochrome. I would imagine it would involve a nice learning curve, like "thinking in portals". However, awesome looking game.
