Last night I went to a 'ASX Roadshow' on exchange traded funds. it was very good. it will be held in brisbane on 26 february. you can register for it here for free http://asx.com.au/investor/lmi/education/etf_retail.htm

there were 5 presenters discussing all aspects of etfs from statestreet, barclays and other companies.

the venue was packed, close to 80 people I would say, but I was the youngest by far (some presenters were youngish), it seems most people are looking to use etfs in their self managed super, whereas I was just looking at it as a much cheaper and better performing replacement for my managed funds.

I know there's several people on here thinking of getting managed funds soon, or if you have them already, I think this free presentation on etfs is well worth your time.
