Capcom's Devil May Cry series has gathered a large fan-base of hardcore users since its beginnings, and with the latest 'next-gen' instalment, the gaming giant hopes to open up that fan-base to newcomers with a game that can be played by both novices and veterans. DMC 4 introduces a new character, the young Nero as he unravels the mystery behind the actions of usual series protagonist, Dante. Over-the-top action, exploration and huge bosses make this an arcade experience well and truly worth checking out.

Boss battles are pretty epic though, and in typical Capcom style, are completely off the charts in terms of size and intensity. The first boss you come across is a hulking four-legged demon and from here on out the boss encounters never let up. They all have a part to play in the game’s overall story as well, which sees our young hero gradually realising there’s more to him than meets the eye...

I enjoyed DMC4. I only hired it out from the local video easy but is a title i'd buy if i had enough cash for it. Only played the original DMC but I loved that too. I didn't think the voice acting was bad at all considering and could of been a lot worse. The boss voices were pretty spiffy and Nero didn't sound like a 12 or 40 year old impersonating a 20-something guy.
