At four disks long we've been cranking through Microsoft's Eastern RPG Xbox 360 offering, Lost Odyssey. An intriguing tale that does much to differ itself from the breed, but ultimately falls into the trappings of the overall JRPG blue-print. Still, Lost Odyssey is a deep and rich adventure worth a look to anyone interested in something other than Call of Duty 4 :P

From our review:
Having so much space, the quality of the game’s cinematics – as you’d expect – is outstanding. From the opening sequence to the various bosses and in-game tangent story cuts, Lost Odyssey never fails to visually impress. Even the stuff using the game’s engine (which is actually the Unreal game engine) is up to scratch. Couple this with some great art-direction and character design and you begin to see one of Lost Odyssey’s most impressive draws...

Damn, is that train tracks snowy mountain range screenshot actually in-game? 4 discs is a pretty good way to curb piracy :P

Tried to convincing a guy at work to buy this so I could borrow it off him when he was finished, but he cried about having responsibilities like a mortgage and a wedding and some s***. f***en pussy.

Cos I just bought Burnout Paradise and Devil May Cry 4 in the last couple of weeks, it'd be a waste to buy another game, not enough time to play them all as it is. But it'd be nice to have it in reserve so I can borrow it one day :P

I like it, although one really annoying thing (and I hate to say this because FFXIII looks like it will be the same), is the camera angle switches all around the place during the fight scenes. It feels like you cant really get a feel for the actual fight 'arena'. It is honestly very cool to watch, but kind of feels very awkward after coming from FF where your always looking from the same perspective.
