Ok I upgraded to vista a few days ago again and wasn't until today I noticed that whenever I come here, or to another forum it never saves my login info. This is annoying so I tried to fix it with the cookie settings but they are fine apparantly. This lead me eventualy to thinking perhaps the temp internet files aren't big enough or something stupid. I go in there and it is set to 0mb. I try and change it and get the message

"please set a value between 8 and 8 for how much space temp files can use"

wtf? BETWEEN 8 and 8? Also no matter what settings I pick, they just revert back to default. I cant change the directory of the temp files as I get an error saying there isn't enough room for the already downloaded temp files.

So by now your mabye thinking "well duh, IE7 sucks f*** go to firefox or safari" I wish I could. For some reason, IE7 as suddenly blocked all my downloads. When I go to download a program it brings up the normal window but just sits at 0% as if its waiting for me to tell it where to save to, only that window never comes up. I managed to download firefox 2 somehow but when I install it the bastard wont start up.

Is there any way I can fix this without having to spend 2 hours reinstalling XP?

HA.... IE7 has compatibility issues with vista but firefox 3 is ok.

There's a delicious irony there somewhere but i'm not sure if i can spot it.

We see that kind of hypocrisy from MS all the time. Hotmail was being run on Apache for quite some time there...
