So I got the dreaded Jury Duty letter a couple of days before I permanently moved interstate (great timing!). Does anyone know if this is sufficient grounds to not have to take part (without having to get my employer/supervisor involved)? I can't see how they could force me to go back interstate for the duration (which would screw me over accommodation and study-wise), but at the same time I could almost imagine them trying ...

I'm going to call up tomorrow but I thought I'd ask here if anyone has been in this situation.
