So I took off my spacebar to clean some s*** from under it and now it's stuffed and VERY annoying.

Are they easily replaceable?

So did you break it or what? Or do you mean replaceable as in easy to put back on? If it's the former then I guess where you bought it, if you just want to know how to put it back there's usually a metal bar that runs from one side of it to the other, hook that s*** onto the spacebar itself, then rest it on the keyboard under a little clip thing. That's how it was for my many desktop keyboards I assume laptops are the same.

My dad had DELL send him a new laptop keyboard, and they gave him the details of the Dell repairer here who could switch it over, but my dad switched it over himself.

Asus will quote you around $100 to replace it.
There is an Asus servie centre at Macgregor (next to JB HI-FI) that would do it

it'll be cheaper to buy a new on on eBay mate (at a guess). Ireland might not have that 'everything has a 200% markup' BS that most of the UK seems to have, but I'd recon you would have already checked out that option.

what are computer suppliers like in Ireland anyway?

can ya get a cheap $2 usb keyboard over there to get by until you get the keyboard module replaced?

You will need to buy a whole new keyboard. Should coast about $20 from the manufacturer. Pretty easy to replace yourself.
