Following on from the huge success of BioShock, both critically and financially, 2K Games have entered into licensing talks with Epic Games to utilise the Unreal Engine once again. UT3 tools were used to power BioShock and bring the majestic world of Rapture to life with the help of developers 2K Australia and 2K Boston. The new licensing talks would benefit new "unannounced games in development". According to 2K President, Christoph Hartmann; "2K had a very positive experience working with Epic's Unreal Engine 3 since it enables games to perform exceptionally well on both console and the PC." Does this mean we could expect BioShock 2? I hope not. However, another collaboration on an entirely new IP from both 2K Boston and 2K Australia would be damn sweet - perhaps something more futuristic? |

I think I vaguely remember one of the 2k guys dropping a hint about a possible Bioshock 2 and saying it'd be a prequel? Can't find a link to the news story where I read it now, so maybe I'm imagining it, but I think thats probably the only way a sequel could work.
