The individuals in parliament now who had nothing to do with the past mistakes of the government shouldn't have to make an appology, but they should be free to do so if they wish. The problem is that they are appologising on my behalf for something me or my ancestors didn't do, simply because I belong to a particular ethinc group (or don't belong to one). I'm sure there are many other people on this forum who fit that description.

Seriously, think back to any race that has wronged your ancestors. If this group offered to appologise for their wrongs, whould you want them to?
