According to the official Super Smash Bros. Brawl site, the Wii brawler is going to also offer up an extra feature regarding all of the classic characters found within - timed Virtual Console demos. Given most of the SSBB cast have - at one time or another - appeared on a Nintendo console, SSBB will offer up Masterpieces.

Masterpieces will allow players to tackle classic titles featuring their favourite SSBB character in timed demos. This is the first time VC demos have been tacked onto a title, but looking at the nature of SSBB and its 29 (announced) cast members, it really is the perfect platform for getting people excited about Virtual Console. Obviously once the timed demo is over, you can then opt to download the full game from the Wii Shop Channel.

There's still no word on an Aussie or Euro release date for this, but it was pushed back in the US recently to March 9th. Hopefully we won't end up waiting months on-end for it like we did Metroid or Paper Mario last year.

I don't forget anything. It doesn't matter what you are writing, sentence by sentence I feel there is a lot you are trying to say which just doesn't get through. You jump into acronyms without any warrant, use uncommon terminology without first using simpler terminology to bring us to your level.

For example, by "Wii Brawler" did you mean a video game about fighting which works on the Nintendo Wii? I don't know. Maybe a brawler is a piece of hardware I don't know about.

a wii brawler is like a wii fps or a wii puzzler.

he justed used the platform with the genre. its not rocket surgery.

also also brawl is in the title of the game.

Yeah that makes sense??? Even if it did, "Wii FPS" and "Wii Puzzler" are not terms people should be expected to have a definition for. I HAVE NEVER HEARD THESE TERMS AND I OWN A WII! For starters I would find it reasonable to not even know what a Wii is, considering it's a fairly recent product. You're talking about it like it's been part of our culture since we were 5 years old.

He put the who in the wwwwhat now? I think if you read Steve's post you will clearly get the impression that the video game IS the platform: "looking at the nature of SSBB and its 29 (announced) cast members, it really is the perfect platform"

also ssbb goty?

I have a severe problem comprehending this statement.

also also brawl is in the title of the game.

Never use a variant of a term to attempt to explain the term. It only makes sense to you. Besides the title of the game isn't mentioned clearly enough for me to even know what the game is. The title of this thread is "Re: Super Smash Bros. VC Previews" which doesn't have the word brawl at all. Most instances where he refers to the game he refers to it by SMSBS or something I can't even remember! See!!!

I guess what really would have helped if it said that this thread was about a game. The word 'game' wasn't really used there...

Here, I found a youtube clip of the game

He is posting news on ausgamers, and you are reading it on the QGL (Queensland Gamers League) forum. Some knowledge of the subject matter has to be able to be assumed.

You'll find it underlined in blue in the first sentence of this thread.

Also, arguing on the internet is retarded, more retarded than your ability to comprehend whats going on in the internets.

Ignore the haters Steve; if you're not pissing someone off on QGL you are doing it wrong.

Please don't start posting a definition of the Wii in every article!

Oh look at all the gushers come out of the woodwork after one criticism. I wasn't even being hateful or anything. I am certainly not going to start arguing with you guys as you've already turned to misrepresenting what I've said and ignoring the truth in why I am saying what I am. Just remember not everyone is as switched on as you when they read Ausgamers news, or knows as much about gaming as you do, and all I'm suggesting is that it helps to spell things out a bit clearer. As a Wii owner who found that post hard to follow easily, and who has A level comprehension according to examination, I think it is something worth mentioning. Of course I can actually figure out what he is saying, but because I have to try harder than usual I think it is concerning.

I think thats just the nature of the medium, gaming and the internt has a lot of stupid slang/acronyms. I also read "wii brawler" as some stupid peripheral like the "wii zapper" at first too, but that was partly because i was skimming the post because like you said, it didnt grab me, which might have been because i didnt care for the subject matter as much as the way steve wrote it.

"Master Hand is returning as some kind of boss. (Not Playable)"

How gay, and that's not because she/he/it isn't playable, but just because master hand is old, boring and gay.

"Mr. Game And Watch" - Yawn

"Falco (Same FS as Fox)" - Got Redundant? again?

Ganondorf - meh

Marth - Who is that again? does anybody care?

Ness (Same FS as Lucas) - why on earth would you wanna bring Ness back, he was the s***test most unplayable character in Melee.

Luigi - How Original.

the game comes out today in japan, the 'leaks' you talk about are just copies that were sold early today in japan, some of the guys from the GAF forums and Mark from EGM got a copy and have been upping some new vids and there's been a ton of new info leaked including the full 35 character play list now.

Any other game is going to have a hard time beating this for GOTY.

So ah.... whats a Wii Brawler?

Brawl is not going to be Game of the Year, its going to be Game of the Decade!

I hope they fix up Luigi, they kinda screwed him up.
