I have the htc jasjam.. there's a newer version a mate got last week from 3 which is preinstlled with wm6 and has gps built in. the only downside on these phones is the camera is below par... I don't take pictures with it as it is so poor.
I use it to surf net from work (and now) but don't think the battery holds up enough to really use it regularly as a media player compared to a proper player. |

HTC TynTnII, Three aus. has that with thier plans. It's got all the things you've listed except for flash with the cam.

HTC Tytyn 2 is an awesome phone. The camera has gotten better since a patch was released in December, but not as nice as some the other phones on the market.
The homebrew community is huge and you can absolutly mod the s*** out of. The battery life is pretty sweet as well. my 2c |

Oooh there's a patch for it? i feel so lame... The homebrew community is huge and you can absolutly mod the s*** out of. The battery life is pretty sweet as well. The battery life is nothing short of phenomenal(or more accurately nothing short of what you'd expect from a normal phone). I'll go for the better part of a week before realising that i should probably charge my phone soon. |

I used to be a NOkia fan boy but ...
More love for HTC - liking the s*** out of my Touch! Very much recommend if you want a powerful pda-phone that's also very compact, has all the feature list sans integrated GPS; phone is also a bit average but I don;t use it often as a phone. |

Sweet as guys, i've seen that 8300 one that looked pretty tempting but lack of wifi is a downer.
I've found it, http://www.htc.com/product/03-product_x7501.htm too bad it probably doesn't exist here |

since using my touch which has qwerty keyboard I have a new found respect for mobile phone pads with predictive text. Nokia phones are so intuitive when it comes to typing, if I had the choice I would just have a number pad at homeinstead of a keyboard.

I have an N95, which is awesome, but as stated above, it doesn't have the qwerty keyboard.
It does connect to a bluetooth keyboard, but I'm sure you don't really want to lug one of those around. If you can do without the qwerty, I'd highly recommend the N95. It accepts HCSD too, so you can put 8GB and soon to be released 12GB microSD cards in it. |

Nokia phones are so intuitive when it comes to typing I found them clunky and difficult but to each their own. The TyTNII has predictive text and in my experience it stomps all over the nokia one. |

once you get used to a particular interface it is hard to relearn.
BTW there is a brand new firmware for n95 which increases battery life with mp3 by 30%. |

I think predictive texting is very much dependent on what you've gotten used to. I used to have a Nokia ages back, and I found the predictive text to be pretty good. I ended up upgrading to a Motorola, and when I tried to use the predictive text, I found it horrible, unintuitive and clunky. But, after a while I adjusted and had no issues with it. Now, I'm back to Nokia with my N95, and I'm back to having problems with the predictive text, simply because I keep expecting it to react how my Motorola did. Eventually I'll get used to it, then I'll be back to square one again if I ever get another non-Nokia phone.

If you like the HTC Touch, know that you can get the touch interface and everything else it does for the Tytyn II now as well :) I actually looked into the Tytyn and decided against it - too chunky for my taste / needs. All I wanted was a compact smartphone with email / wifi / windows mobile 6. The Touch is much lighter and more compact, I have a laptop to do serious typing on, the touch is for small notes / organising when I cbf opening the notebook. Each to his own tho! |

Had a Dopod 810 for a while now and has win mobile 5, many apps to choose.
Its small enough for one handed use, qwerty keyboard by touchscreen, wifi for borrowing someones net. Processor is a bit slower than others around but it does more than enough for my signwriting needs. Can even draw basic layouts in this vector program. |

Chooney, Grab windows Mobile 6 of the PDA Developers site. It is remarkable how much faster your device will run with it.
Hogfather, I like the touch, but I way prefer having a qwerty keyboard, once you get it down pat, you can type emails and txt messages and what not very quickly. :) But yes, each to his own. Personally Id get an iPhone if the iphone had HSDPA, exchange sync and a s*** ton of other features apple didnt bother to implement |

HTC Cruise is the latest HTC device and is the TyTN II without the keyboard basically.
http://www.htc.com/product/03-product_htctouch_cruise.htm I have a TyTN II, which the usb socket broke on the other day (getting it fixed next week) and it's a great phone. I won't buy another device until HTC sort out the video playback/chip issue which they won't do on the current phones :\ |
