I got an issue with an instantaneous gas hot water system. Its a Bosch 16B.

Ok, been having cold showers for a few days now putting getting a plumber off thinking that i can source the problem myself of an arvo. Now I cant see anything wrong with anything gas related before the hot water system.

One plumber without even looking at it wants to sell me a $2000 dollar system without even thinking about repairing it. Another wants $250 plus labour plus parts.

Now trolling other forums Ive seen a diaphragm replaced for HOT COLD HOT COLD issues($150) and a pilot light thingy replaced($23)

I think i have no gas going to the pilot as I can't forcibly light it.

Can any plumber shed a little light?

NOTE: I'M NOT STOOPID AND NOT GOING TO BLOW MYSELF UP ...don't want to hear it :)

We use 'The Gas Doctors' when our gas hotwater buggers up.

I think they are at Tarragindi (however it's spelt).

They don;t seem to be overly expensive, although it always sucks spending money on something as boring as hot water.

i have a plumber and i ain't sharing him with nobody. nobody i tells ya!

Speaking of plumbers does anyone know whats involved/how much it costs to get a water tank plumbed to your house to be eligible for the rebate?

Does it have to be a licensed plumber or can you just connect a few pipes?

All that the DNR requires for your rebate is proof that the tank is connected to the roof.
