I've got a set of Plantronics headphones the old school ones with the cloth cushioned earphones which are no longer produced anymore. I need to know how to pull the bastard apart as the cable from the PC to the headphones has come a little loose and the left earphone has been cutting in and out.
Anyone got any ideas on how to pull this bastard apart?. I've had a go myself and I can't seem to find a way to but I might just be noobing it up. |

I also have the sennheiser px 200's I think they are or 250's.
Not as good as the hd 25's of course but still block lots of background noise compared to normal ones. I have a friend who has got the in ear sennheiser ear buds with the knobbly bit with good bass response not sure what model, I think they are about $80 and said they are really worth it for ear buds. |

Why do you people always show up in headphones threads? My question to you is have you ever used a pair of hd25's? If no, then my next question is dont you think there is a clear message from the people who use them? If you have ever produced any music or mixed tracks or had to do fine tuning on sounds you will understand why. Have you ever noticed in like sports that some of the commentators use them? If you know someone with a pair I could suggest going to a nightclub, taking your mp3 & putting them on & turning them up about half way. Then you might understand why: or take them on the plane with you next time. You could even get them to turn their house stereo up full ball and doing the same. That will give you some answers, hopefully!!! Im using Sennheiser HD447's, clear sound with nice bass and resonable price.Never actually used them but I have heard some good reviews on them. How much did you pay for them back then? sennhesier hdr 130's here, rock for work cause I can't chew the cable like my last pairBoba, Why you chewing your headphones for??? (hmmm) Forget to eat breakfast???? Lol.... |

Why do you people always show up in headphones threads? Cause seriously, they f***ing ROCK! Bass is insane, an when coupled with a decent soundcard the sound is awesome! I'm no techno/dance/trance lover, I'm ol school metal and can certify that the HD25's have such an awesome range for music. Aside from the simple fact that they sound AWESOME when used for gaming (which is my primary use for them) I haven't met a single person yet who hasn't gone "awwww, I want a set of those for playing, the explosions sound like explosions, not someone smacking a plastic stick on a tin roof!" Also, they're digital oh - an you can buy replacement parts for them last edited by HERMITech at 02:00:17 12/Jan/08 |

I think by "you people", he meant Sennheiser fanbois.... Your ignorance portrays you as average at best. yes, sennheiser have release a "mass" line of products aimed to jump in and claim some money in the 20 - 100 $ range, but if you still go for their top of the line headphones, they are still rediculously good and even the "hifi" nerds still love them, and are as respected still as beyer or grado or any other you can name. As for why "those" people show up in these threads? i dunno, it's obviously not helping. for the original question, dont' know, sorry, but that is one of the most annoying things ever. |

I've got HD25's and I can safely say I did not spend anywhere near $380 on them. Import them and pay less than $200*. That's the advice everyone gave me.
HD25's are completely user replaceable, with spare parts readily available. They are moderately tight fitting. Personally I would prefer the Sony MDR-7506. They are comfier, and cover the whole ear. They sound** a little nicer to me. It seems to output a more natural sound then the 25's, perhaps less 'bassy'. Note, these are in the professional series, and not the consumer ones you see around. Sony's naming convention can lead to confusion. * Having a look around the net now, they seem to be much dear overseas now. Bummer. ** I am in no way an audiophile. edit: Just noticed this was not even answering the op question. Caught up in the moment I guess. last edited by ccl at 17:24:59 12/Jan/08 |
