Ubisoft have just announced they'll be launching a web-based online game set in the Heroes of Might and Magic Universe. There'll be no need to download anything to play it, all you need is an internet connection according to Ubi. It sounds odd, but could have the potential to see just how popular that universe is, and then who knows, maybe Ubi will enter the MMO realm... Heroes of Might and Magic Kingdoms is a strategy game set in a persistent version of the heroic-fantasy world of Heroes of Might and Magic. Thousands of players will be able to rule their virtual kingdoms, lead gigantic armies against each other, master the trades or create legendary heroes. The game requires no download or installation, only an Internet connection. In addition, players can play at their own pace; from 10 minutes to multiple-hour sessions.Apparently a key for the beta can be found in the Heroes of Might and Magic Complete Edition which incidentally is out today, you can also register for it here though. |

I have played a few web based games (like travian) but none have seemed to keep my interest. Should be interesting to see what they do with this one.
