Although I heart Bale, they totally f***ed up the Terminator world. Hopefully the fact that it's set more in the future it will be different enough to not be considered a continuation of the first two.

I dunno, he doesn't seem that bad. He's done The OC, Chuck and Supernatural which were/are all good.

Is it even legal to make a Terminator movie without Arnie?

The Sarah Connor Chronicles pilot I thought was really good... but I really hope they don't f*** this one up, both for the reputation of the Terminator franchise and Bale.

But for now, who cares, never mind Terminator. Bring on The Dark Night ffs!

He was the producer on those shows though, not the director.

the franchise was already fuct imo. the original terminator movie was the only one i liked.. the rest got hollywooded with carebear terminators & temporal plot holes. now with the director of charlies angels it's sure to be a flop.

Is it actually possible to have any movie, or story, that has time travel as a central premise and it not to be full of temporal plot holes?!

I think no matter what they do, it'll suck balls - it just seems like a cash in thing at this point. I really really liked the idea of the "Sarah Connor Chronicles" and reckon it could have made a kick ass series, but from what I've heard its sort of balls

Trog just had a feminine moment :/

The movie has potential if directed well, but by reading your responses it seems this director doesn't fit the Terminator style. If you think about it, the situation is now greater than Arny. Arny came back to the past to protect John Connor twice, so thanks Arny you did your job. Now I'm keen to see Christian Bale (John Connor) take over and kick some arse in the future with some f***ing awesome cgi and awesome weapons.

Going out on a limb here I know, but Terminator 3 > T2 > T1, they are all close, but T3 was just this awesome conclusion to it all that I needed.

Terminator 3 was to Terminator and T2 what X-Men 3 was to X-Men 1 and 2.

That's probably a bit harsh, but I thought it was just a pointless money-making exercise. The corresponding element to both of those was a new director for the third movie, I just don't like the idea of yet another one messing with the original creative vision.

That Terminator series is lame as, but like this I will most likely still watch it anyway.

ummm, X-Men as a comparison is woeful...
The comic has been running for many years with many different plot/story lines - Hell, look at the animated series
Terminator was originally a once off movie which did well so it was milked for the cash cow it was
