speedtest.net is pretty good .. i use it every time i find a new wifi point to see how to set my torrents

Hallos, is there a way i can test the upload speed of my connection? Upload something to your ISP's webspace/FTP. No other broadband test site can compete, as they will add extra factors that can bottleneck your upload speed and/or give you a bad reading. |

^^ well that would be a more accurate "real world" test then. I'd rather know how fast I can upload my credit card details to those nice people in nigeria to get my inheritance faster as opposed to how fast I can upload the latest pictures of my 100 cats to my personal web space.
