Hey guys.

I'm looking for a good case with a PSU for around $200. Max $250.

Looks don't really bother me, I need a large-ish case with good cooling.

I'm a total noob with cases/PSUs so your help would rock :D

Any recommendations?

I can only recommend Antec cases - I got one of these and it is awesome. Super quiet, good cooling and it looks nice.

you could consider a cooler master stacker case.. if you want big

and antec psu, zalman psus seem to be quite good too, there are some other good brands for psus but these are my favourite... and make sure your psu has pfc (power factor correction) so you can be cool and save the environment!

buy a sheet of perforated steel, cut it into sections and make yourself a case as big as you need, slap some fan in strategic places around it and voilą, swiss cheese case.

Any serious replies left? I'm still unsure, though looking at the one decaying corpse linked me to.

I have about 25 of these at work now and one at home. It isnt the prettiest case but it is the nicest thing to work on and it is cool and quiet. Best money iv ever spent.

That combined with a 750W Thermaltake PSU

Say that when your nice and heavy 8800gtx is lying in the bottom of your case after lugging it around. Yeah, i've seen it happen. Screws for life.

I have never seen it happen.

Perhaps the one you saw was a cheap case, or wasn't put together properly.

ill back up shrapse. only because it happens about once a week.
Get pics each time.
actually we have alot of pics ranging from firewire into usb. people making the 8 pin power for a board fit into a 2900xt. peolpe leaving the lga cover on after putting a cpu on the board and then attaching a HSF ontop..

These don't really fit your criteria but a $130 Antec Solo case and a $100 Corsair VX-450 PSU are extremely quiet whilst offering decent cooling. Obviously the PSU won't handle Crossfire or SLI.

Look at the HP Blackbird case and tell me that it looks s***. Sure, it's expensive, but I can't think of a PC case I'd rather have, and it's tooless.
