A client of mine is looking to create a custom Point of sales package for use in their stores Australia wide. It will need to interface with the Til's in relation to reports / pricing. They also wish to be able to update a price for an item and rollout it out from their central office.

The will be an indepth project however the client has real expectations in regards to time frame. They have a scope already done with the exact features and functionality they require.

They have already approached vendors however they are only interested in selling their own, not writing one for them specifically.

If this is something that you are interested in, PM / reply. This is not a project for those looking to get into projects.

Thanks

Why do they require a complete custom package just for them?

All of the requirements i read above are covered by existing software and hardware available from the company i work for. Do they have any unsual specific functionality requirements???????

Our software covers all areas of Point of Sale. Pricing, inventory, stocktackes, support, everything.

Tell them to get into contact with Worldsmart Retech. www.worldsmartretech.com.au

If not I imagine it would be a very hard sell to find someone willing to write an inventory managnment system combined with all the support software. That is a huge job.

thanks Leb, will look into that link.

They are in the newsagency industry who have specific needs around the way magazines are stored (dont ask me exactly what). Obvioulsy I have only touched on their requirements however I do know that for whatever reason, they haven't had any luck with a few of the major vendors.

Thanks again
