Flight of the Conchords is a top show.
Their agent, Murray, is a highlight. Definitely check this out if you like stuff like Tripod etc, although I reckon these guys are better.
Should be more of this type of show on TV IMHO.

On August 17, 2007, HBO announced a second season for Flight of the Conchords, set to premiere in 2008.[5] Prior to the announcement, Jemaine Clement stated in an interview with the The New Zealand Herald, "they [HBO] are interested in doing another series but we have to think about it. It's not a definite offer but they have talked about us starting writing but we've got other things we want to do as well".[6] Bret McKenzie has stated in several interviews that the band has used up "98 percent" of their old songs in the first series. In an interview with The Star Ledger, he said "We'd need some time to develop new material. It's like the second album syndrome. It might take a lot longer".[7] Shortly after the renewal announcement, Clement stated in an interview that the second season would likely consist of fewer than twelve episodes "so they could concentrate on 'quality not quantity'". McKenzie and Clement plan to write for the second season in Wellington, New Zealand before they return to New York City in 2008 for filming.

It's true, if you listen to their releases they have used pretty much every song - in the show - even the ones you wouldn't think they could sneak in there.

after this thread (was originally posted) i went and chased up the first series

was a little disappointed, its a bit hit and miss, definately a bit strange

songs are great, just it still leaves 20 minutes of the rest of the show . . .. .

I hate music comedy like Tripod, you have to pay attention to the lyrics for way too long before you start to laugh.

If you like these guys you should check out a movie called "Eagle vs Shark" starring the main guy from FOTC. Hilarious (but weird) NZ comedy out on DVD.

Why you guys only posting the songs? The actual content in the show is fckn awesome. Like that robot video clip...the s*** Murray says and the way the guys react is hilarious.

Do what you gotta do to check this show out. It's mad!

I must be the only person who thinks this show is pretty average, at best. It had a very good moments but I thought they were few and far between.

Too many dicks on the dancefloor = bowdown

Their greatest song ever I reckon.

I started watching S2 but gor rather bored after the 3rd or so epp.

They had used pretty much all their material in S1 and I guess they just churned out songs for S2. Still enjoy a few songs here and there but the show got boring fast.

This season they are writting the episodes and making the songs to fit that, some aren't the best sure, but man some are awesome. Dicks on the dancefloor as well as the Same Girl song.

Man the new zealand prime minister episode that just came out was good I reckon. And yeah agreed those 2 songs were great.

It is a shame, while still funny, it has lost a bit of season 1 magic.
