I'm switching from bigpond cable to iinet Adsl2+ and Voip.

I use wireless to connect.

Can someone please suggest me a modem that is good and does it all?

Also, do I need a special phone for Voip or can i just use my existing cordless normal phone and plug it in to the modem?

thanks

Why do you want it all in one?

As soon as one item is superseeded you need to replace the whole dealio.

What is this "wireless" phone you speak of?

A wireless VOIP phone or a cordless normal phone?

to use a normal PSTN phone (cordless or regular) with VOIP you need an ATA (analog telephone adapter) of some kind.

I use a cisco ATA186, which i have had for ages, but there are heaps of them around. Linksys SPA-3000 is pretty neat. It can manage your landline as well as multiple voip providers and feed them all out your normal phone.

For a wirelses ADSL2+ router i would get a Linksys WAG54G. They are rock solid and if you want to hax0r it later you can get home brew firmware.
