E3, the much anticipated Electronic Entertainment Expo, has gone through several changes this year. Instead of the media blitz that it had become, it is now known as the E3 Media and Business Summit, and is a much more reserved and closed event.

AusGamers has a man on the ground there this year so we'll be reporting stuff as it comes out (assuming it's interesting, of course).

Games publishers have been sort of quiet about what is happening this year with respect to announcements and the like - usually we're swamped with media and press releases, but this year it's a little quieter, so hopefully we'll be able to keep up.

Does this s*** just crop up on the net and you leech, do they give you the address and password for a secret web page for the media, or do you carry around a USB drive at E3 and just plug it into the booths?

peter moore played rockband at the start of the MS brief last night, was roffle when he accidently paused the game, but also kidn of sad, i always cry when i see peter moore do stuff.

microsoft didnt show much new stuff, gears of war for pc was pretting interesting, 5 new chapters which im abit jealous about.... pgr4 looked good, lost oddessy. nothing really blew me away though, more interested in what sony and nintendo have to say.

Yeah, I'm also interested to see what comes out on Wii, mainly the party type stuff. I wanna buy one for Cooking Mama and Wii Sports but if there's nothing else like that coming I prolly wont bother. Although I remember seeing a trailer for Carnival Games which looked like f***ing awesome fun so I hope that comes out here soon.

Yeah, the Rock Band tracklist is looking set to own Guitar Hero 3 pretty hard. Also awesome that a large majority of the songs are originals and not covers.

That song-list was majorly missing some Fear Factory.

Though I guess they don't want people sending their guitar controllers back for repairs after each session :P

Very underwhelmed with pretty much everything shown so far. We've either a) seen everything they're showing or b) the announcements are average. The 3 major press conferences so far have been s***!

Hrmm, might actually be worth buying a PS3 next year. MGS4, Haze, Killzone and Drake's Fortune are all looking pretty hot.

lol at the wiifit, hats off to nintendo for thinking outside the square and trying to get more people interested in games, which really will be a great thing overall for the industry.

gamespots coverage is probably the best ive seen so far, with interviews and gameplay, great to see the games talked about last year at e3 are looking at a sept/nov/dec release date.
