Can someone please tell me what MX and VM stand for? I've used dozens of Asus MX and VM boards and all I know is they have onboard video and are cheap.

Micro ATX so not full size VM / MX are the same thing.
Usually the VM's (Intel or Nvidia based) are higher end and MX (VIA or SIS based)lowerer end |
