I have an 87 pajero super wagon which is a seven seater
when i purchased it there were only five seats and it has a compliance plate
for such
i recently found the same model pajero at a wreckers which still had good seats
(the rear dickie seats)

as i understand it i have to get an eingeeners cert and take it to qld transport

does anyone have any recommendations for someone that does this and a rough price

after being on hold with qld transport and racq i had a handful of numbers
but noone picks up the bloody phone

any help is appreciated

all the 80's and early ninties have the same dickie seats
just the seat belt mounts are different
mine are lap
but there are shoulder belts
and retractable belts
i bought a pair of new belts and the seats are bolted in
just needs a cert to say all good

oh I didn't read your original post properly. I wonder if you really do need re-plating at all then. Did the person at qld transport actually understand that the vehicle came out with 7 seats and no modifications were required to bring it to 5 seats other than unbolting them?

The 5-seat compliance might not necessarily overrule the original 7-seat one, is what I mean.

Just a thought

all sorted now, thankyou

cost $150 for the two seats
$60 each for seatbelts
and $165 for compliance

cant complain
