Topic: Who wants to buy a shirt?

I'm pretty fussy with what t-shirts I wear so I decided to make my own and try one of these online printing places, I've made up a a design and it will work out cheaper if there's more than one so if anyone else is in Brisbane and would like one of these shirts, they'll start at $35 with the price dropping if we get more people. I work in the valley so we can arrange for them to be picked up either somewhere there or in the city (or I live in springwood) I think I can do it in a variety of colours and sizes but I will have to double check on that. Anyway, this is the t-shirt, no one else will probably like it though :P

Text says "Back off man, I'm a scientist"

EDIT > I *THINK* I can get them for under $30
EDIT > Only if i get 4+ people, also big pic added so you can do it yourself if you want to

I would be wary of selling something that doesn't belong to you, if you live in this country at least!

sucka that's cause you're a bogan who only wears singlets

I might be able to do them from an overseas company for $32 each but it doesn't get any cheaper for multiple items so if it's just 1 or 2 I'll do that

I'm not making anything out of this, it'll just work out cheaper for me if there was more people

The last thing you want is more people wearing the same 'cool' shirt as you. And if 2 of you should turn up at the RE wearing it at the same time, awkward....

Bogan i am not.

I'd get something on the front saying: "I am not respsonsible for 9/11.."

and on the back: "7/11 maybe."

such an overwhelming response

I started doing another one, I wanted to do the 3 amigos, the three hats as silhouettes with the creed underneath. The hats weren't recognizable like that and I was gonna give up when I saw a little icon based off the poster and I redid it at a larger res...

if you go to a decent Photo Copy shop they will print s*** on t-shirts for not very much. The one upstairs at indro charges like 20 bux (you supply the T-shirt)

I have been printing my own shirts for a while using the iron on transfer method.
You can get the paper from Officeworks etc (Celco brand or similar) and buy the shirts fairly cheap from the Bonds warehouse (at Mt Gravatt).
They aren't as durable as a screenprint but it's a t-shirt so once it wears out chuck it and make another one.

What you will need is:

*T-shirt transfer paper (get the ones that transfer to a black t-shirt). They are about 20 bux for 5 A4 sheets (meaning that you can make a minimum of 5 shirts, although if you are clever and print on either end of the paper you can make more than one print per sheet)

*a t-shirt

*a semi decent colour printer - the better teh printer the better the final result but I have used a Canon SP-1000 and got ok results. Printing this way does churn through the ink though.

I found that making the images about half the size of an A4 sheet was as big as you want to go, preferably smaller depending on image/printer quality. However the advantages are that you can make one-off t-shirts using any image you can get onto your computer so that leaves a lot of room for creative t-shirt making. Using photoshop you can do all sorts of cool stuff and make shirts that no one else has.
