i just formated the missuses comp and i want to put xp on it now she has an original cd sticker on the side of her comp but we don't have the disk. i recon she should have got the disk when she got the comp. but she didn't. can i just borrow a disk and use that key or do i need that disk. if not should i just go to the shop she bought it from and tell them she didn't get one. it was like 18 months ago.

You can lend mine but I ain't giving you the key. It's not a pirated version.

If it's XP home and you're near Redcliffe area you can lend mine.

All depends what version whether it is XP Retail, OEM, Home, VLM etc. Each have a different formula for the key. It should be written on the lable what it is. Just make sure you get the right disk.
