Backing up some files on my serv each night to a dvd+rw. The files are only about 100mb. Im using Nero BackItUp, but it keeps ejecting the dvd.

Anyone else used this and know how to fix it? Or know of some free software to do it?

Turned this up after a quick google

Seems like there is a setting in the advanced option to disable auto eject. Hope that helps.

Edit - just realised backitup is not a part of regular nero.

Windows Live OneCare has a back up program in it, as well as virus, firewall, spyware protection etc. It has a 90 day free trial then you have to register it (the license allows for 3 pc's to be registered with the one license).

if it keeps ejecting your media before it burns then it's expecting either compatible media or a blank cd instead. are you sure it is configured to burn to a dvd instead of a cd? nero s kinda picky about that for some reason :/

I'm pretty sure he has it setup to burn everynight and once the burn is complete the tray ejects. That means if something bad happens they have s*** from the previous day to backup from.

He doesn't want to keep having to push the tray in everyday for it to be to burn again later that night.

Is it because the DVD is full of data? If that's the case then you'd have to earse the disc then burn before every back up wouldn't you?

Maybe the disc you tried has been burnt before and while it might not appear to have data on it, it may well do.
