Sony have announced a price drop of the PSP by US$30 - just spoke to Sony Australia and they've said there's no planned price drop in Australia just yet though.

I think if 360 is going to be re-released just as expensively, don't expect a drop in PS3

psp are cool just for filthy hacks, but still exspensive and a ds is all the portable gaming anyone ever needs.

GG Aussie Dollar!

At USD$170 you'd be paying around AUD$210. Almost half the price of the $399 that most places are asking for it around Aus.

Why would you? It's heavier, has less controls and has a weak excuse for analogue control.

oviously you wouldn't buy a psp instead of an extra control lol i just think its pretty awsome of sony to integrate that kind of technology.

Hey, nobody has done it WELL before. I'm keen to see if any developers make use of the DS as a Wii controller. I'd buy a PSP if the battery life weren't a joke. 3-4 hours just isn't enough for me, I'll stick with my DS's 11 or 12.

Using a GBA as a controller for crystal chronicles worked fairly well. Pity they were compulsory for multiplayer though :/

Is there actually a reason to use a psp as a controller?
