Grr.. last post got eaten.. let's try again.

(much shorter, as I'm out of time).

Looking for 3 second/third-tier support agents interested in working with Hutchison Telecoms. The catch is, we need applications by close of business tomorrow (Tueday 20th March), who can interview on Wed/Thursday.

What we're looking for:

helpdesk/call centre experience
familiar with windows XP and Vista (Vista nice, but not really necessary as we can train you)
Linux (any distro) or Mac OS X an advantage
Good attitude
Sense of humour
Good cultural fit with the team (will be determined during the interview and meet&greet)

We don't expect you to know our products etc, but you will be trained on them, and expected to learn reasonably quickly.

What you will be doing:

Providing end-user support for our range of handsets, mobile broadband cards etc.
Providing support to system admins etc regarding the installation of enterprise push-email and workforce mobility solutions (again, this will all be taught to you)
Providing support to things like Skype and Orb to end-users
Testing and reporting on proof-of-concept ideas etc, as well as going over upcoming handset releases to check for problems etc

What you get out of it:

Salary: low to mid $40k depending on experience
Work hours: Monday to Friday (either 8-4 or 9-5)
Location: Milton (just off park road)
Training on all our products etc
MS certification
Tool of trade mobile phone.

As I said though, timing is crucial, so please get back to me before 5pm (brisbane time) on Tuesday, so I can pass them on to the decision makers. You can send emails to: dharcourt(at)3pstt(dot)com, or if you desperately need to talk to me about it, or have problems/want to clarify something, you can even call me on (zero four three zero five eight two six zero two).

Hopefully, I'll hear from some of you very soon!

Cheers,
Ges.

Hey dude, you work just around the corner from me! Hi five!

I'd be pretty keen for the job (I fit all the criteria etc), but I can't work Mondays due to uni :(

I'm very keen, as i lost my job cause of injury. I haven't had any help desk experience but I am a quick learner, and i meet most of the criteria. I'll give you bell with my resume a bit later tonight.

Help desk experience isn't necessarily a problem (it'd be ideal, but we can teach you most of it.. I look forward to hearing from you!

Cheers guys and thanks for the quick replies!

Sounds like a fun job, but a bit too much like what I'm already doing with a certain other major teleco though :)

good luck finding people to fit :D

Seems salaries haven't increased much since the late 90's.

i do similar work and i get paid a fair amount more than that.

low to mid forties is pitiful pay for someone qualified.

That's the point, they make no mention of qualifications. Mid 40s is not bad for someone with no bits of paper.
