love how he slows down and then just accelerates away...

but yes I agree if that was in Aus, the chase would have been called off long before it got to that point, once they hit a certain speed they have to call the chase off (don't they?).

Good times, funny that there wasn't any other cop cars involved?

I think 130km's is bs
I've been chased (not knowing I was being chased) @ 180k/h
They were doin 160k to catch me and they were chasing me for like 45 mins apparently. They caught up eventually cause I had slowed right down to 110k's. Only got booked for 139k's cause they had NFI what speed I was actually doing.

they don't have to stop the pursuit unless it is over 80k's in a residential area but on the highway they bikes have to stop at 160 but the highway patrol cars have no limit but have to stop if it becomes to dangerous

Apparenlty (and I could be mistaken) QLD Police were told that now that their police motorcycles have so much crap on them, have been told that they cant go over 130km/h due to the bike becoming unstable and them promptly falling off.

This could be pure rumor but those bikes do have a lot of s*** attached

ghostrider movies are full of this kinda stuff... so much that ya get quite bored with it after ya watch him out-pace the thousanth marked car with it's sirens on. ya gotta wonder how staged it is. especially ghostrider4 where he dresses up as a bike cop & chases 'offenders' down :P

Ghostrider chasing down people would be awesome especially if they are trying to outrun him. Find the videos pronto imo.

Yeah i think the start of ghostrider shows a short clip of that cop car getting clipped.

When I worked - as a civ - for the QLD Police, my Sergent - who was an ex-bike cop - told me that Police Bikes were no longer allowed to be involved in pursuits because it was simply too dangerous to ride. The reason being is that at 100km/h a pursuit bike has the visual size of a ruler.
