Does anyone know a mobile plan that focuses on just SMS.
Looking for a plan to use with a GSM modem for only SMS sending. Won't be used for calls or connecting to net work anything. Either one that charges a fixed monthly fee or one that does it per SMS. Thanks p.s. Looking mainly for Aust atm, but also NZ and China/Asia and soon UK, America and Europe. |

There are plans with optus and vodaphone where you can opt for sms savings.
Like you could chose to have dicounted calls at certain times to certain phones, or you could elect to have cheaper sms or something. All their websites have information on their deals. |

Never heard of an SMS only service. U can opt for sms options but the deals arent that good.
The best deal fullstop is a cap. I go the vodafone. |

don't think you can get it anymore, but i'm on an older optus sms plan, i pay for the first 3 sms in a day and the next 30 are free.
i'm on a 45 plan, so that leaves me $20 odd dollars for calls. works out pretty nicely for me |

I just worked with a whole bunch of deaf people who all had mobiles but just used them for sms. I'm pretty sure they just had normal plans but didn't have to pay for calls as they didn't use them.
As an aside this is a brilliant advancement for deaf people as you can actually get in contact with them all the time! Very cool |

Why not just buy credits on a web/PC based SMS company?
