There's a new patch for Battlefield 2. Download it if you want. Somehow the whole release time thing is still providing a little bit complicated for those involved and the planned release schedule for this was, once again, messed up, but hey - now it's out. Here's the changelog for the 500mb patch:

At the rate they're going it won't take them too long before we just end up downloading the whole fkn thing instead.

That patch prolly includes about 490meg worth of new logo screens before the game loads.

this sounds like a pretty s*** game

the battlefield made was the demo for battlefiel 1, god that s*** was addictive

then everyone forgot about battlefield when the game was released

haha, as if it isn't 490meg of new ads so people can't block them getting downloaded in realtime.

i wonder what files it actually changes? Maybe someone could slap together an unofficial minipatch. Oh well, I hate bf games, lucky me.

once, new weapons were only able to become unlocked through skill and hard work. then they revised the stats and dumped most of the unlock weapons on everyone, making way for the SF addon to be bought so people could have extra better weapons. now its impossible to compete unless money has been forked out. wheres the fun in paying to win.

EA will always have money while their sports games do so amazingly well in america.

But they'll stop making and supporting games if people stop buying them. The instant people stop playing BF series, what do you think is going to happen to the ranking system and the vast amount of their employees that they have supporting it?
