I just hit my mum up for doom on xbox live arcade. I recommend to fellow 360 users to grab it for co-op/deathmatch action. 800 MS points.

Just finished my first dm game on e1m1. I got 19-6 and the second best score was like 3-17. I rule.

i honestly believe if i had an xbox 360 and xbox live that my life would go to s*** and i would lose all forms of social skills like i did back in grade 10 when i first discovered counterstrike

One problem with it seems to be the lack of customisation. I want fast monsters and weaponstay dammit.

Still f***ing cool though, I hope they also bring out doom2.

edit: clicky
Gameplay: Experience all the classicDOOM and DOOM II levels, monsters, and weapons. Play the entire single-player game solo or in co-op mode via split screen or over Xbox Live.
Hello, but where are they? The download was only 22 meg is that enough for the two dooms? I remember doom was 16 meg and doom2 was around 30...

You're right my doom2.wad file is 14ish meg.

I think it was duke3d that was around 30 meg :/

maybe the textures are compressed and the audio mp3s now or something?

I'd imagine both games would share the same engine and much of the same textures, so many of the assets which would have beein in both games previously may be shared in one bundle now.

I believe in doom95, the frontend/program was the same, but you just loaded up the different *.wad files.

Doom 1, Doom 2, TNT etc

I expected a response to the question, but obviously that's asking too much

how is it on large tvs? how's the multiplayer? how's the f***ing controls on a console?

Well it's.... larger on large tvs. I find the controls really easy to use - most of the problems suffered by fps games on consoles is because of looking up and down but obviously that doesn't happen in doom.
