The latest version of America's Army has been released, taking this free FPS to version 2.7 and almost tripling the file size in the process - to a staggering 2.7 gig! More on this soon, but bear in mind that if you want to download this file, Internet Explorer just doesn't have the power - you'll need to use a download manager that has Large File support, or just upgrade to Firefox. This is officially the largest gaming file we've ever hosted! Download this behemoth locally from AusGamers. We've also got a torrent link up. |

are there lots of ppl on aussie servers?Yeh, it's pretty popular. At 7am we had a full server of the OLD version, which really surprised me. There's a lot of veterans playing it and the style is a little different to many other FPS games - lots more focus on realism (from what I can tell). Once you adjust I'm sure you'd go back to pwning newbs. |

the downloads page says 1400 odd downloads... surely that can't be right for a 2.7gb file that was only posted an hour or so ago?

Its a great game, if you play on local servers with no hax being used. |

It usually takes some getting used to with aiming and shooting. The game has been designed as a recruitment and training tool by the US army, so it is based around being as realistic as possible. The player base is a quite mature as well which is excellent. The training has mostly kept retards and cheats out I guess. |

I have BP cable Jim. It stayed between 100KB/sec and 110KB/sec the entire bloody download. Oh well, I have it now. It finished about midnight last night.

No probs. BTW, the new map "Steamroller" is fantastic. Take a look. I'll grab some screenies next time I'm in and post them up. last edited by E.T. at 14:55:47 17/Sep/06 |

You think youd have learned to use a download manager after the first failure.
